Biography
Amir Landesberg, MD DSc is a staff member and former Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Technion. He has B.Sc. in Electrical engineering, MD, and DSc (PhD) in biomedical engineering. He received post-doctoral training in Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta, at the University of Calgary. The interdisciplinary studies combine engineering with medical sciences and yield quantitative characterization of the normal and failing hearts. Dr. Landesberg work has been published in the highly esteemed journals. He is the founder of several medical device companies and spin-outs in the fields of cardiology, pulmonology and intensive care.
